Best practice guidelines for risk identification, assessment and mitigation
The Solar Bankability project aims to contribute to the reduction of the risks associated with investments in sustainable energy projects. The project results should increase trust from investors, financers and insurance companies. The project was called to existence to establish a common practice for professional risk assessment based on technical and commercial due diligence. The focus is put on photovoltaic (PV) installations, with emphasis on rooftop projects and on prosumers, generating and consuming their own electricity, and on respective financing solutions provided by professional investors.
The final report of the project provides an overview of the other in-depth technical reports and findings of the project dealing with risk identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation. In this context, 3E contributed to the development of a set of best-practice guidelines and useful tools to assist stakeholders to develop their own individual risk management strategy along the lifecycle of a PV project.
