Work
3E completed in 2015 a feasibility study for rooftop solar PV installations on industrial sites in Burundi.
The objective of the project was to carry out a techno-economic feasibility study for roof-top or ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems on 45 company/factory sites in Burundi (most of them located in Bujumbura). The feasibility study encompassed the following stages: data collection, modelling of irradiation data at the different company sites in particular taking the site visit data into account, PV system design and techno-economic assessment, review of support schemes and regulatory frameworks. The client of this project is the Burundi Association of Manufacturers (AIB) with support from TradeMark East Africa (TMEA).
Throughout the project 3E experts worked in close cooperation with the client and therefore helped the technical team appointed by AIB with all basic knowledge needed in the field of the development of the PV system.
